Hi all,
Today I decided to replace my original oceanic 137 GPH with MJ 600 pump rated at 160 GpH according to some internet sources. I hope that increase in the flow will help somewhat combat the GHA problem I'm having in my tank.

Previous test using MJ-1200 failed due to it sucking all the water out of the outburst chamber and spewing bubbles into the display tank. MJ 600 tried to do that, but was stopped by adding more water to the biocube.

Any feedback from you guys will be appreciated.

A question I have: if anyone has MJ-900 will you trade it for MJ-1200? I want to try it as next step upgrade and see if my tank will take MJ-900 w/o micro-bubbles issue.

And last thing, will this kind of GPH be an overkill on my softies (xenias, mushrooms etc?)
Here what the thing looks like:

What's going on dude! Long time.

I used to have a Biocube 14 with a Maxijet 1200 and the Hydor Flo attachment and it was rock solid. I would highly recommend the 1200. You just need to add more water in the back so like you did with the Maxijet 600.

The flow shouldn't be overkill. The Hydroflo helps in randomizing the flow so I don't see any detrimental effects especially with your low aquascaping.

If it becomes a problem you can buy some loc lines and just T off the output and it should help substantially.
