My goal is to get dyno tuned this year to get around 300whp+ which is around 375+ to the crank.

All the performance work was done by me minus the tuning...

plan to tear motor down, i would change out crank and cam, as well as go with different pistons so the wear and possible breakage from extra hp or just change out pistons and rings and throw a cheater bottle on it

everyone is so big on turbo's and i have had them but much preffer a supercharger, turbo is good for upper rpm boost, super charger is equal boost all the way across. i am currently up in the air too add a supercharger to my 325i. have exhua, intake and a chip { havent install chip yet } but i am older now and speed isnt so important, got a kid. but would like it for the little extra :shhh: when them civic's pull next to me

I used to be into that scene ... have the bike now to have fun with ... the car thing was a phase it was exciting but not worth it in the end, and like our hobby here money burned away ... no jap ride here strictly German :tongue1:

My next car is gonna be a combo of luxury/sport ... with less street racer appeal ... besides the exhaust on my car now is just annoying lol ..
Amazing how at the auto show this year alot of 4 door sport sedans are hitting the markets ... even big names like the M3 Sedan, Lexus ISF, and Mercedes C300 AMG, even the all new Maxima has some paddle shifter installed now to give it a more sporty appeal ...

House let them play with their toys. We all have to learn eventually. I put 5k into my first car, a dohc vtec del sol, and it only boosted the whp by 80 making it 240 NA. I put a lot more money into my first mustang but the gains made it 550 rwhp and in relative terms of money to actual gains, I spent far less on the mustang and ended up with a car that would still obliterate 99% of what's out there. They'll eventually learn and realize there is no replacement for displacement.

I had an SI as well - loved that little roller skate clipping taxicab mirrors for fun in NYC - BUT, nothing compared to my 1972 Cutlass with Craigars and a stock 350 rocket - sheer exhilaration!

Auto, the compression on my motor was up to 11.2:1 . "Highly marginal for street use" lol, had to use the denso iridium plugs on it. AC removed, power steering removed, if it wasn't for that tree attacking my car at 80mph she would have been turned into a track car. Still have plans for her though but she'll probably end up just a del sol body made to fit around some huge crate. Kind of like those monster miatas :shhh:. Oh and converted to rwd.
