hey guys i have been doing some research on these things and talking to a couple of experts on RC regarding this issue. SO i thought i would bring it here and see what you guys think. its a little tricky so be alert LOL

Every expert i have spoken to has stated to me and i agree with is that you set up your skimmer in the 1st chamber of your sump to pull out the most debris and crap from the tank. now the refugium question is: Where does the refugium return go back to the sump and why?

someone told me the first chamber that is skimming.
another person told me the second chamber to prevent bubbles
a 3rd person said the 3rd chamber so that all the macro algae that is made goes into the tank and does help feed the corals.

I am lost on this one:
if it goes into the first chamber wouldnt it skim out all the macro that needs to feed the corals??
if it goes into the 2nd chamber there can be a build up of pods macro etc.
if it goes to the 3rd chamber, there could be a build up of micro bubbles.

anyway thankyou for taking the time to read this and if you have any links on articles on this it would be greatly appreciated as well as any responses that answer this maze of a question

thanks
matt
