Check out the new Store Rating System!

Well, it is finally online!

The much needed Store Rating system is fully functional and available on the NYC Stores page. Please let me know if you have any problems using it.

One thing about the online rating system, it is a bit counterintuitive.

If you REVIEW a store, your 5 star rating is not part of the calculation for the 5 stars listed on the main page next to the name.

For that reason, I recommend entering a review (if you choose to post your comments), and then rerate the store using only the RATE button on the right hand side.

The RATE button is what actually adjusts the star output on the main page.

You probably already thought of this. Did you set something up to prevent people from artificially affect the ratings by voting numerous times?

The rating system records your IP address and prevents you from posting or rating twice. Give it a try and see if it works.

How about online vendors too? Alot of reefers purchase there gear online. Most of my gear was purchased online.

That is a great idea and I will add it to the list of things we should be working on.
