hi,

just bought few days ago a very nice specimen of Genicanthus caudovitatus ( zebra angelfish) which is so far doing great.
fish is very active, displays great color ( the one i have is of the opposite sex of the one displayed on fishbase ... plain white color exept one black line above the eye), eats well and is non-agressive.

http://www.fishbase.org/Summary/Species ... dovittatus

i would like to have your input regarding its diet as i am currently trying to provide this animal with the largest variety of food possible !

i remenber the Genicanthus melanospilos a friend had in its 125 reef in Brooklyn but forgot about the food he used to throw in !!

thank you for your input,

Toine

Toine,

These fish are plankton eaters, and will respond to the same type of food that anthias go after. Try frozen mysis and plankton, and if you can get it to eat a quality flake food or spirulina so much the better.
