Hurricane sandy

hi so after the hurricane i was out of power until now i luckily brought my fish and coral to a friends house with power after 2 days but i left my tank with live rock home. The tank probably hit 55 degrees for 3 days. I am assuming the live rock is unusable in my rebuild due to all the dead organisms within it. Am i wrong and is there anything i should do or can do to make the rock usable. An if not i guess i should just cycle the tank over again. lmk what is my best option. Thanks

Feed the tank and watch your parameters. I would give it at least 2 weeks before introducing your fish back and do it slowely not all at once

+1 you basically have to go thru a cycle again to build up the bacteria

I will Start Testing the water first for Ammonia Nitrite and nitrate then I will take from there if test come out bad then I will do 50% water change then leave it for 2 days and test it ! add fish first if parameters show up good in 2 days then with in 2 more days test again and then add corals of course if water test ok good luck !!

so my water parameters were:
Nitrite- 0ppm
Nitrate- 15ppm
Ammonia- 1ppm

It would good to do that to lower the organics. Use your tank water though.
You already have 1ppt of ammonia and more than enough nitrate in the system, you don't need extra dead organics for the bacteria

i have 0ppm ammonia and 0ppm nitrite would it be safe to add a fish
